The Importance of Secondary Education
Teachers within secondary education and their students are important to the work of the AACCC because they ensure that the study of classical antiquity reaches a wider audience. This encourages marginalized voices to actively enrich education and scholarship within the Classics community.
The first step of this outreach is connection, both between secondary educators and with scholars who #teachancient and identify as Asian or Asian American. Look out for #AAACCQA (Asian and Asian American Classical Caucus’ Questions and Answers), a digital meetup for Asian and Asian American classicists to ask questions and give answers.
